What are the two chief Interstate highways in Columbus, Ohio
Two of the major Interstate Highways bisect through the city of Columbus, which is the largest city and the capital of the State of Ohio. These highways are the Interstate 70 and Interstate 71, which run east to west and north roughly to the south-western part respectively.
Columbus, OH is centred around intersection of the two highways and the Interstate 70 and Interstate 71 come together downtown into a congested 1.5 miles or 2.4 km stretch which is notorious for the traffic congestion. This stretch is known as "The Split" and the locals call it the "South Innerbelt".
