
What you should know about the Mangels-Illions Carousel of Columbus Zoo
During the 2000 year' spring season, Columbus zoo added their restored 'Mangles-Illions carousel' which was built originally by ex-Olentangy Park. After the park was closed in the year 1938, carousel moved to the Wyandot Lake operating for nearly 60 years. In 1999, Carousel removed from the Wyandot Lake which underwent restoration of million dollars.
With fifty-two hand-carved horses, Stinson band organ and two chariots, this is the only few of the rare carousel manufactured by William E. Mangels Corporation.
