Farm employers in Columbus are eligible for unemployment insurance if the following criteria are met. During the previous or present calendar quarter, they should have employed workers (ten/ more than ten) in 20 weeks/ more than 20 weeks each. The cash wages paid by them should be at least $20,000. The payment of this should have happened during the preceding or present calendar year.

The parents, children under the age of 18 and spouse of the sole proprietor are not covered. All the workers of a corporation or a partnership are included in the coverage regardless of the family relationships.
