
Details on 3-C rail line for Columbus
A high speed passenger rail with a speed of the order of 110 mph for connecting the three major cities of Ohio, namely: Columbus, Cincinnati, Cleveland & Dayton are a possibility in the near future. It is known as 3-C rail line or 3-C corridor.
The restoration of passenger services in this corridor will benefit a lot of commuters. Several hundred million dollars has been pursued in the form of federal grant for returning the passenger services. The money will be used for covering expenses related to signal and track improvements. The money would also be spent for buying locomotives and passenger cars.
