
Details about Columbus Streetcars/Trams and the Central Ohio Transit Authority
The Columbus Streetcar system was proposed to operate in and around Downtown Columbus. Though the initial plans were to run the trams along High Street, it was also proposed to run it for about 5 km for connecting Franklin County Government Center and Ohio State campus.
The Central Ohio Transit Authority is popularly known as COTA. It is a transit agency that serves central Ohio and Franklin County. The agency is responsible for managing the bus services. Streetcar service and light-rail service have been under discussion numerous times in the past years. The headquarters of COTA is at Columbus.
