The main building of the Ohio Historical Center is a unique structure of Burtalist concrete. The permanent exhibits here include Ohio's Ancient Past (showcasing native American heritage of the region), Centuries of Change (displaying Ohio's role in creation of USA as a nation), Nature of Ohio (natural history of the region), Ohio's Garden Path (gardening styles and trends from around the world), Treasured of Christopher Columbus (collection of 19th centaury furniture), and Architecture.
