
A Brief Intro of Central Ohio's Only All Girls School - Columbus School for Girls
Columbus School for Girls (CSG) is the only all-girls schools in Central Ohio. It is a privately-run school was set up in the late nineteenth century by two educators Florence Kelley and Mary Bole Scott. The idea was to challenge the tradition of finishing school that existed during those days. Today, the school strives to prepare its students so that they can effectively compete with other prestigious institutions. Currently, there are over 650 students. The school is popular for its comprehensive curriculum and expert faculty. A number of women scholars were students of this school.

The school admits students after reviewing their prior educational backgrounds, attendance record, as well as a school entrance examination. Students are encouraged to play tennis, field hockey, basketball and golf.

Meritorious students are entitled to scholarship grants. CGS also offer need-based scholarship grants to students. Students have to apply for scholarships and go through an official procedure. Meritorious students who have the ability to think critically and have analyzing abilities generally get the scholarship.
