The Columbus College of Art and Design is supervised by a private body. This college is commonly known as CCAD. Located in downtown Columbus, This College was originally founded in the year 1878 as The Columbus Art School and at present it is the oldest operating art school in the entire US.
The total campus area of the college is spread in 10 acres and has sixteen buildings. The CCAD lies adjacent to the Columbus State Community College and Columbus Museum of Art. Every year more than 1300 students get themselves enrolled for different courses at CCAD. The college also offers weekend and evening classes which are famous among the local residents. The Bachelor of Fine Arts degree is offered in 9 different areas by the college and the students who graduate themselves from CCAD holds a key position in major companies throughout the globe.
